About the Ride

In June 2027, a team of veteran Welsh Guardsmen will ride from Cardiff to Wrexham, covering around 145 miles over four days, to mark the 45th anniversary of the Falklands Conflict.

The ride is not primarily a sporting challenge. It's an act of remembrance for the Welsh Guardsmen who lost their lives in the conflict, and a fundraiser for the Welsh Guards Charity, which supports serving guardsmen, veterans, and their families.

The ride has the support of the Welsh Guards Charity (Charity No. 1152766) and is proudly backed by Falklands veteran and Welsh icon Simon Weston.

All public donations go directly to the Welsh Guards Charity. Every pound raised supports those who have served.

Simon Weston CBE

Simon Weston is one of Britain's most recognised Falklands veterans. He served with the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and was badly injured in the Argentine air attack on RFA Sir Galahad on 8th June 1982.

In the decades since, he's become one of the most respected voices in veteran welfare and an inspiration to thousands. He's a proud supporter of this ride.
